A Bright Future for the South East Dawesville Foreshore
Aims to transform the area into a vibrant, family-friendly destination that honours the natural beauty of Dawesville while fostering community spirit and engagement.
The Dawesville community is poised for an exciting transformation as the South East Dawesville Foreshore Master Plan unfolds. With the final plan now endorsed by the council, Dawesville is set to witness the rejuvenation of its foreshore, turning it into a hub of activity and relaxation for families, locals, and visitors alike.
A Plan Shaped by Community
The Master Plan envisions creating family-friendly spaces that enhance accessibility, foster water and land activation, offer improved amenities, and prioritize the environment. This comprehensive plan promises to enrich the Dawesville lifestyle while preserving its unique charm and natural beauty.
What’s Coming in the Development?
Stage 1 focuses on vital infrastructure, including expanding the recycled water supply scheme to support the lush landscapes and public spaces soon to grace the foreshore. Following this, Stage 2 & 3 will introduce enhancements aimed at strengthening community bonds:
- New playgrounds alongside secure fencing to ensure children’s safety.
- Picnic areas and BBQs for social gatherings and family outings.
- Exercise equipment for promoting a healthy lifestyle among residents.
- Improved pathways to ensure the foreshore is accessible to everyone.
- Revegetation projects to restore native flora and support local biodiversity.
