The much-anticipated Dawesville Community Centre is opening its doors, and everyone is invited to join the festivities! Located on Woodstock Avenue in Dawesville, the grand opening event promises a lively morning filled with engaging activities, entertainment & community spirit. The event will take place on Sunday, 31 August, from 10am to 12pm, offering two hours of fun for all ages.

Entertainment and Performances

Don’t miss the Paint Mandjoogoordap REaD literacy program, which will be on-site to inspire young minds and encourage a love for reading through interactive experiences and activities.

Local Art Exhibition

A highlight of the event is the special art exhibition showcasing the talents of Dawesville’s local artists. This exhibition kicks off during the grand opening and will run until Friday, 19 September, with viewing hours from 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday. Attendees will also have the chance to participate in a people’s choice award, voting for their favourite artwork. The winning artist will be announced on Monday, 22 September.
