The Dawesy Hub has been part of Dawesville for 2.5years. It began as a simple idea to keep locals connected and to give the district a place to share its stories. Dawesville is not perfect, but it has heart, character and people who care, even if that care is not always obvious.

The town is home to footy teams that fight hard every weekend, schools that put in the work, clubs that keep traditions alive and people who quietly achieve things without expecting applause. Dawesville carries a sense of pride, even when it hides behind a bit of complaining.

The Dawesy Hub has always aimed to show the good side of the community. The wins, the moments and the reminders of why Dawesville is worth standing up for. Those stories cannot appear without local input.

Your descendants can trace their roots because local news keeps the small stories alive. A lot of what we know about our ancestors and where we came from comes from the everyday things communities choose to record.

For the Dawesy Hub to continue, it needs community stories, events, achievements, photos and expressions of local pride. When something happens in any corner of Dawesville, it deserves to be shared. When someone does something worth celebrating, it should be recognised.

If there is no community contribution over the next four months, the Dawesy Hub will close. A community rag only works when the community is part of it.
